K-Laser Treatment

Helpful info on K-Laser treatment for pets

LaserPet: Low Level Laser Therapy

LaserPet Limited offers Low Level Laser Therapy to animal patients using the K-Laser, and is now delighted to be able to offer this service to the patients of Gilmore Veterinary Surgery in Standish, Wigan.

Low Level Laser Therapy stimulates the body’s own healing mechanism to reduce pain, inflammation, to accelerate healing and improve the quality of healing.

Laser Therapy is non-invasive, pain free, with short treatment times and no side effects. No patient restraint is required and owners can stay with their pets during treatment.

Laser therapy is able to be used on a wide range of conditions and injuries, ask your veterinary surgeon for more information.

LaserPet was founded by Registered Veterinary Nurse Lauren Keenan.

Lauren Keenan RVN (K Laser Therapist)

I have always had a passion for helping animals live healthier and happier lives and this passion led me to become a qualified Veterinary Nurse back in 2011. Since qualifying I have worked in local practices, larger hospitals and locum work both in the UK and USA.

I first became interested in Low Level Laser Therapy during my time working in a veterinary hospital in the USA. In the US a larger proportion of practices use this therapy to improve their patients’ health and wellbeing for a wide variety of conditions. I first hand saw the difference this non-invasive therapy was making to patient lives and became increasing interested in improving my knowledge and skills in this area. This passion and experience has led me to create LaserPet , to be able to bring this treatment to more of the Northwest’s beloved pets.

LaserPet has invested in a class IV K-Laser (global leader in class IV laser) and I have further improved my training and expertise by becoming a K-Laser certified operator.
